Heard in Kilkenny, Tipperary, Limerick and Roscommon
Abroad, as in a foreign country. In Kilkenny usage also means out the back.
Or in Kilkenny meaning out the back - as is 'shes abroad in the haggart' when describing that herself is outside in the area arounf the back of the house
Or in local parlance meaning out the back, as when the lady of the house is positioned immediately behind the property.
