A shady, grasping rogue or crooked speculator, often given to petty extortion and sharp practice.
Don't buy a car off dat gombeen, he'd sell his own granny for a tenner!
Do not purchase a motor vehicle from that bounder, as he would happily auction his own grandmother for a ten-shilling note!
